Most of my posts are ultimately about the well-being of your business so that it can deliver for you what you want and need it to, but it's always worth keeping in mind the well-being of the people who own and run those businesses, too.

I suffer from mental illness. It has affected my business. It's affected my relationships. It's affected my income and my quality of life.

Odds are pretty good that you have at least occasional brushes with the same kinds of problems, and it's almost certain that someone you know struggles regularly with them.

The holidays are often a time to rest and take stock and to prepare for the coming year. Don't forget to take stock of your personal health and well-being. Don't avoid seeking help for your mental health. It's at least as important as physical exercise, as business advisors and partners, as good social relationships, etc etc.

And being honest about your challenges, if you have them, will help the people around you take steps to deal better with them too.

If you're not in a place where you can enjoy the fruits of your labor, or the labor itself if that's still where you're at, then what's the point? Don't lose sight of the goal - a good, fulfilling, and satisfying life.
